TMJ Physical Therapy
The temporomandibular joints, called TMJ, are the joints and jaw muscles that make it possible to open and close your mouth. Located on each side of the head, your TMJ work together when you chew, speak or swallow and include muscles and ligaments as well as the jaw bone. TMJ disorder is a term that refers to acute or chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint. The disorder can result in significant pain and impairment. Our Therapists can help with therapeutic exercises to strengthen and increase motion of the affected area.
Pediatric Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists work with newborns, children and young adults who may be experiencing developmental delays or musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. Our pediatric physical therapist, will provide treatments to infant, child, and adolescent patients who have conditions that limit their physical abilities. You may help them learn to move their bodies correctly, make movements less painful, increase the function of injured body parts, and heal from injuries. As a part of treatment, we will develop plans that outline goals and methods you will use during patient rehabilitation. We also assess your patients to ensure they are advancing and that treatment is working.
Complimentary Injury Screenings
During the assessment, a licensed healthcare professional will take a detailed subjective report of your musculoskeletal complaints, as well as assess your movement impairments and discuss how this is affecting your activities of daily living. In addition, an assessment on joint integrity, range of motion, strength and flexibility could be performed. This will allow us to help guide your medical options.
