ORANGE PHYSICAL THERAPY IS NOW OFFERING E-VISITS
FOR PATIENTS WITH MEDICARE
What is an E-Visit?
On March 16th, Medicare expanded access to healthcare via telecommunications (phone, email, video) in response to our current health crisis. While most of the new rules apply to visits with physicians, coverage for “E-Visits” for physical therapy patients was also included.
Medicare describes an E-Visit as a “non face-to-face, patient-initiated digital communication, that requires a clinical decision that otherwise typically would have been provided in the office.”
]What does this mean for you?
You can receive your physical therapy benefits by video, e-mail, or telephone!
Orange Physical Therapy is now offering virtual physical therapy E-Visits for patients to connect with a physical therapist from the comfort and security of your own home.
No travel to the clinic, no unnecessary exposure to the elements, and no extra time taken out of your day.
Of course, there is no substitute for your office visits, and we look forward to seeing you again soon in our office. But until then, in an effort to make sure your current plan of care is not disrupted, we are offering this service for anyone who is no longer receiving in-person treatment.
Real support from the same trusted physical therapists at Orange Physical Therapy.
This service will be available to any patient with an active physical therapy plan of care, and it will be covered by Medicare.
